Altitude: 120-180 meters AMSL
Incline: 10 % steep, 20 % sloping, 70 % flat
Soil quality: loam/loamy sand, interspersed with shingle, sandy types of clay, some limestone, weathered soil, very changeable.
The term ‘Gottesacker’ was formerly used to describe a church yard or cemetery. As a classical Deidesheim vineyard, the Herrgottsacker produces wines – above all Riesling wines – of a particular typicity.
