Aromatic, delicate, unique – these are the striking features of this multifaceted grape! It presents aromas of blackcurrants and gooseberries, green notes, grass, elderflower and citrus to varying degrees depending on the methods of cultivation and ageing.
Sauvignon blanc is an internationally widely distributed grape of uncertain origin. It has, however, been established that it is a very old grape that was first grown in France. It is cultivated on around 300 hectares in the Rhineland-Palatinate. Its demands on the location are high. It prefers lean and dry soils.
