Deidesheimer Herrgottsacker

Characteristics

  • Single vineyard: 125 hectares
  • Height: 120 – 180 m above sea level

  • Soil: loam to loamy sand, deposits in some areas, sandy clays, limestone in places, weathered ground, widely varying

One of the Palatinate's most typical wines originates from here – racy, juicy, strong and spicy. Loam to loamy sand, deposited materials in some places, sandy clays and limestone in conjunction with a moderately mild climate are ideal for the special demands that a Riesling makes.
