The Kieselberg is situated on a flat plateau above Deidesheim. The name is derived from this location's ground conditions. The mineral content of the pebbles, the ease with which the stony ground absorbs the heat and the location's exposure produce very ripe grapes, which constitute the foundation for elegant, fine-fruity wines.
